Either way I wish you luck in your endeavor. I think other Anons would probably be able to offer more and/or better suggestions on streamlining though. I can somewhat see where you are coming from and appreciate you not being like the resident shitposter. Also, i really like the idea of 1v1 or 2v2 battles because you don't need a massive play space for maps, and again, less mechs means faster play time. However, things like partial cover bonuses, flipping arms, pilot checks, punches and kicks etc, seem like rules that could be dropped to streamline game play. As i said previously, the heat tracking seems really fun, and i love the fact that sitting in water cools you down faster. I figured it would be easier to ask people with more experience what rules were essential, and which could be dropped in favour of streamlining play and reducing overall play length. I assumed battletech was fairly modular considering the fact that the total warfare rules exist. My main goal was to take the intro rules as a base, and then add rules on top of it from the full ruleset. I actually really like the rules, but life gets in the way of playing a 4-6 hour game, and i really don't want to play a "simpler" game like alphastrike (it's too war gamey, and i don't like warhammer like games). Heck, im not even wanting to change the game. No, i have no intention of being a bt hating shit poster.
